Towering limestone karsts, the Four Islands and Railay Beach by longtail boat
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is defined by its limestone geology — vertical karst towers rising from the sea and jungle alike, creating a landscape that looks more like a painting than reality. Railay Beach, accessible only by longtail boat, is arguably Thailand's most dramatic beach setting: hemmed in by cliffs on three sides, its white sand and turquoise water framed by towering rock faces popular with rock climbers. The Four Islands day trip visits four different beaches and snorkelling sites in a single day. Ao Nang serves as the main hub, with easy access to dozens of offshore islands.
